Giant Magnetic Pattern Blocks

Perfect for demonstration, proportionately sized pieces are 3 times the length of standard pattern blocks on each side. Largest piece (hexagon) measures 6″. Includes 47 magnetic pieces plus activity guide. My 4 year-old son and I play with these all the time. We put them on a magnetic white board at his level, so he plays with them all the time. He uses white board markers on them sometimes, but the marker rubs right off. The only thing I wish I had known is how thin they are. It’s made of magnetic sheets and covered with a sticker. They are durable, but I wish they were easier for my son’s little hands to remove from the board. However, he doesn’t seem to be frustrated by how thin they are, so it’s minor.These are great pattern blocks and very inexpensive. I love the idea of having magnetic pattern blocks! They are a great math manipulative for my preschool head start classroom , Reinforce shape recognition, symmetry, congruency, fractions, area and more! Perfect for demonstration, proportionately sized pieces are 3 times the length of standard pattern blocks on each side-and 9 times greater in total area! The one thing I do wish this set had was circles squares and rectangles. I do feel it is a set that is best for older preschoolers once they have learned their basic shapes.
