Short writing activities are designed to familiarise them with parts of speech and correct use of punctuation. Skills taught include: Using word relationships and sentence patterns to construct and write sentences, verb inflection and tense, and expanding meaning using adjectives and adverbs, identifying and practising grammatical agreement, placing punctuation appropriately
